Bio

If ever there was a power behind the throne, it's Iwona. A hugely talented financial controller with an impressive resume including Master of Economics and Certified Management Accountant, she runs the Axis finance department with a vice-like grip and a warm smile. Like any good financial controller she has to rein in the crazed ambitions of entrepreneurial partners and pour cold water on their genius ideas. However, her steady hand on the tiller has helped mould the successful company that Axis Insurance is today. A determined problem solver, with a love of achievement, she has her feet firmly on the ground – valuing trust and honesty, tempered with a large dose of reality. Her life in Vancouver is a far cry from her escape from the communist regime in Poland and her icy attic Toronto apartment which was her first home in Canada. Behind her exceptional intellect and sharp intelligence there lies the heart of a romantic poet – who loves the simple things in life: the ocean, children, laughter and family.  Oh, and Earl Grey tea.
